« Isla del Sol » village
There is a small village called « El Pueblito » by the Cuban located in the North-West of the island, about 8 km from the hotel zone.
In the village, you will find the habitations (see picture) where the workers live during their 20 days work then followed by 10 days off at their home mostly in Havana and Isla de la Juventud. There is no Cuban living permanently at Cayo Largo. Sometimes you may see a large group of construction workers during reparations or building new constructions.
