The Sol Pelicano which used to be a Gran Caribe hotel is now a Sol Melia hotel since December 2002. The rooms are distributed in several two or three-story units, colonial architecture.
The beach in front of this hotel is generally the most stable of Playa Lindamar. This hotel has a miniclub (better choice for family than Sol Cayo Largo).
Venta Club has left Sol Pelicano late in 2009. Presently there is no Italian club at the Sol Pelicano, but just a regular tour operator (Press Tour) who has a contract of about 80 rooms.
