Taxi, Jeep, Scooter & Shuttle

To go to the village, the other hotels or to transfer from and to the airport, there is a taxi service at Cayo Largo available 24/24. Some people prefer to pay a taxi to go to the airport rather than wait for the shuttle with all the other tourists.

For diving, catamaran cruise, excursions to "La Isla Grande" (Havana, Pinar del Rio, Trinidad, Isla de la Juventud, etc.), the transportation (shuttle bus) is included in the price.

Shuttle for Playa Sirena, Playa Paraiso and Punta mal Tiempo

Leaving to hotels: 8:30, 9:15 and 10:30
Leaving the beaches (return): 12:30, 13:30 and 15:30
The transfer is free (during rough sea, as all the hotel nautical centers are at Playa Sirena) and available everyday. You may ask for a pîcnic (box lunch) the night before a the front desk, claim it before you get on the bus.

Jeep rental

To stroll around the island you may also rent a Scooter or Jeep (manual drive). There is very little traffic in Cayo Largo and only few roads and paths, it is almost impossible to get lost! almost ;o)

For any rental, you need to provide your passport number. You may bring a photocopy of your passport and leave the original in your room's safety box. No insurances are available. The first tank of gasoline is included but should be enough.

Scooter rental

The use of security helmet is mandatory. As always, be careful especially on the sandy road of Playa Paraiso and Sirena. Please note the scooter rental may be cancelled at any time for security reason.

Please do not drink and drive.. not even a scooter! Roads at Cayo Largo are dark at night and sandy trails to west beaches are sometimes very slippery. Always be careful!
