The Isla del Sur was the first hotel built in Cayo Largo. It open its door in 1982. The rooms are in a two-story building with pool or ocean view.
The Isla del Sur, Villa Coral and Villa Soledad hotels share the same lobby (reception) and administration) located in the Isla del Sur resort.
This hotel is an exclusive Italian club called « Eden Village », which includes the hotels Isla del Sur, Villa Coral and Villa Soledad. Canadian Tour Operators do not have rooms at the Isla del Sur hotel. People who first discovered Cayo Largo in 1982 will remember this hotel was offered by the first Tour Operator called Champagne Tour.

Facilities : A Buffet restaurant (breakfast, lunch, dinner), a snack bar, pool bar, lobby bar (24/24), pool, kid pool, tennis, shop, money exchange, Fax, post office, tourist desk, car rental, horseback riding, babysitting, hair salon, lounge chairs, beach towel , beach umbrellas (palapas), shuttle service.
All the hotels offer a special dinner to celebrate Christmas eve on December 24th. In 2008, we were invited at the Hotel Isla del Sur (Eden Village). For this occasion, giant shrimps, prosciutto, smoked salmon and a delicious grilled lobster tail. A night to remember!
